Vicks First Defence is a nasal spray for use at the very first signs of a cold, such as a tickle at the back of the throat or sneezing. It is a medical device rather than a medicine and works at the back of the nose, where cold viruses first settle, to help trap, inactivate and remove them.
Starting it early, within 24 to 36 hours of the first signs, helps reduce the chance of a cold fully developing. It can also be used when you have been exposed to someone with a cold. Suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over.
